carrotcake AI is a SaaS startup built to simplify marketing strategy and reporting for small businesses. As the founding marketing manager, I not only led all paid and organic marketing efforts, but also designed the original product prototype, built the beta testing framework, and managed user feedback to inform our roadmap. My role spanned product management, creative direction, and growth strategy, bridging the gap between what the market needed and what we built.

02 — Creative process

I started by mapping the platform’s core features into a clickable prototype, ensuring the UX aligned with the problems our audience was facing. We launched a beta program that grew to 200+ active users, with structured feedback calls and surveys to identify priorities for the development team.

On the marketing side, I crafted a go-to-market strategy combining targeted Meta campaigns, organic social, and partnership outreach. I ran rapid creative and audience tests to reduce our CPL, while using user insights to adjust both our messaging and the platform’s features. This closed-loop approach kept marketing aligned with product development at every stage.

03 — Results

In just a few months, carrotcake AI went from idea to a functioning platform with a 1,000+ person waitlist and an engaged beta community. Continuous iteration on both marketing and product design reduced cost per lead by 86% and positioned the brand as a valuable tool for small business owners. The combination of strategic user feedback management and performance-driven marketing gave us a clear path from concept to market traction.
